What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Instructor position at The Training Center of Air Conditioning & Heating?
We are working on obtaining a second location in the Houston area. We are currently looking for a qualified HVAC Contractor that is interested in transitioning into training. We will teach you our methods, our curriculum and it is only 3 hours a day for 4 days a week. We prefer someone who is comfortable speaking in front of a small group.
Responsibilities
- School Tours and encouraging student enrollment.
- Teaching a morning, afternoon or evening class with up to 20 students.
- Be comfortable instructing and overseeing students during various HVAC exercises.
- The ability to administer our methods and curriculum.
- Able to work for a minimum of up to 4 hours per day, 4 days a week.
- Responsible for Attendance Tracking & student feedback.
- Patience! Students range from 18 years old all the way to 55 years old.
- Ability to learn how to use Microsoft Powerpoint and AV equipment.
- Occasionally answer calls from students inquiring about the program.
- Up keep of supplies and equipment, put together student tool bags and assist with building new learning modules as needed.
- Assist in Maintaining cleanliness of the training area and restroom.
- We will teach you everything you need to know and we provide all the slides, materials, equipment & supplies!
Qualifications
Licensed HVAC Contractor, Electrician or Mechanical Journeyman License
Must be knowledgeable of basic electrical with a mechanical aptitude.
Must have the ability to oversee 20 students during exercises safely.
Must be able to attend either a morning 8-11am or evening course 5:30-8:30pm during 20 week paid training to learn our methods.
Must be passionate about the trade.
Must be able to obtain or have the EPA 608 Certification.
Spanish speaking is a plus!
