Role DescriptionThis is an almost full-time, hybrid Freelance Operations & Logistics Support role based in Savannah, GA, with a clear path to full-time employment within approximately six months, contingent on performance and business needs.
The position supports the physical execution of events and the behind-the-scenes operations required to keep productions running smoothly. Responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles, setting up and striking event spaces, transporting equipment, supporting vendor arrivals, and maintaining inventory, warehouse organization, and facilities.
While some coordination, communication, and inventory tracking tasks may be completed remotely, the role regularly requires on-site, hands-on work during event installations, strikes, and warehouse preparation days. Weekly hours may fluctuate based on event volume, but the position consistently requires a high level of availability, reliability, and flexibility.
This role is physically demanding and takes place in real-world conditions. Team members may work in heat, cold, rain, or outdoor environments for extended periods. The job involves lifting, bending, carrying, driving between locations, and adapting to rapidly changing timelines. We are seeking someone dependable, steady, and willing to do what it takes to support the team on the ground.
Key Responsibilities- Load, transport, and unload equipment, décor, and production materials
- Assist with event setup and breakdown at venues and private properties
- Support vendor load-ins and on-site logistics
- Operate company vehicles as needed to move materials between sites
- Assist with warehouse organization, inventory tracking, and equipment preparation
- Maintain professionalism and efficiency on client sites
- Support leadership and crew leads in executing events on tight timelines
- Strong logistical, operational, or facilities experience
- Ability to safely lift, move, and carry equipment and materials
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational skills, particularly related to inventory and equipment
- Dependability, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in fast-paced or physically challenging environments
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in events, production, installation, hospitality, landscaping, warehouse operations, or similar hands-on fields is a plus
