PSL Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Human Resources Coordinator to support our growing Skilled Nursing Facility team. This position plays a vital role in the daily operations of the Human Resources Department by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, personnel records management, benefits administration, payroll support, and regulatory compliance.

Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the Administrator and Human Resources Director in the daily administration of human resources functions. This role serves as a resource for employees and applicants while ensuring compliance with federal, state, facility, AHCA, OSHA, CMS, and company requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities and assist with hiring initiatives.
- Post and maintain job advertisements on various recruiting platforms.
- Screen applications and schedule interviews.
- Conduct employment reference checks and pre-employment screenings.
- Manage new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
- Ensure all required employment documentation is completed and maintained.
Employee Records & Compliance
- Maintain personnel files and employee records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure I-9, E-Verify, licensure, certifications, and other required documentation remain current.
- Track employee health requirements, including TB testing, fit testing, and other compliance requirements.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility policies.
- Assist during surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Human Resources Administration
- Assist employees with HR-related questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Support benefits enrollment and employee status changes.
- Prepare employment verification letters and other HR correspondence.
- Maintain HR databases and HRIS systems.
- Support employee engagement and recognition programs.
Payroll & Attendance Support
- Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping audits.
- Monitor attendance, call-offs, overtime, and leave tracking
- Ensure accurate employee timekeeping records.
- Assist with workers' compensation reporting and documentation.
- Payroll & Attendance Support
- Coordinate documentation related to workers' compensation incidents.
- Support department managers with payroll-related matters.
Employee Relations
- Foster a positive and professional work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and facility information.
- Support employee investigations and corrective action processes as directed.
- Participate in employee meetings, training sessions, and facility events.
General Functions
- Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable laws.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee, resident, and facility information.
- Communicate effectively with department managers and facility leadership.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
- Attend required facility meetings, in-services, and continuing education programs.
- Maintain organized records and documentation.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to support facility goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of Human Resources, Payroll, Staffing, or Administrative experience preferred.
- Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and compliance requirements preferred.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility.
