What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Laborer position at Port Erie Plastics?
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To perform PM and repair of PEP equipment. To perform general housekeeping duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Summaries of the essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:
1. Perform PM's / checks on vacuum loading systems and other equipment. Changing / cleaning air filters to ensure proper airflow is maintained.
2. Assist other maintenance employees in the performance of their duties as requested by Maintenance Supervisor.
3. Train with maintenance technicians to further skills and knowledge of the facility machines.
4. Perform general housekeeping duties, including collecting the residual waste throughout the plant.
5. Perform all work in a safe manner, follow safety standards and use required safety equipment (PPS)
6 Responsible for continuous improvement in the performance of the job.
7. Perform all tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education; High School diploma or equivalent with some technical and mechanical training
Experience: One (1) to Three (3) years mechanical maintenance experience
