We’re hiring a proactive, experienced Production Manager to oversee food manufacturing operations at our Portsmouth facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily food manufacturing operations across all shifts.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF food safety standards at all times.
- Plan and manage shift scheduling, staffing, and labor resources based on production demands.
- Oversee inventory management to ensure materials are available and aligned with production schedules.
- Oversee Quality Assurance and Sanitation.
- Partner with the maintenance support for preventive maintenance and reduce equipment downtime.
- Motivate and supervise hourly production staff, fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, HR, and Logistics.
- Maintain accurate production reports, labor records, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Production Manager role within food manufacturing (required)
- Demonstrated success managing hourly shift teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong understanding of food safety programs (GMP, HACCP, SQF)
- Proficiency in inventory planning, shift scheduling, and labor optimization
- Experience in implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
- Working knowledge of ERP or production software; strong Microsoft Office skills
- Hands-on manufacturing leadership experience
Requirements:
- Physical demand requirements:
- Lift/carry up to 40-50 lbs on a consistent basis - occasionally 51- 60lbs.
- Frequently pushing/pulling 21-50 lbs - occasionally 51-60 lbs
- Constantly stand or walk for long periods
- Work with varying machinery and equipment
- Work at heights using rolling safety ladder to access inventory
- Frequently climbing stairs to access height of equipment
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
