Title: K-12 Mathematics Instructional Coach
Position Overview: The K-12 Mathematics Coach supports the development and implementation of high quality mathematics instruction across all grade levels. The coach works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to strengthen instruction, build teacher capacity, and increase student achievement. This role is non-evaluative and centers on improving teaching practices through coaching cycles, modeling, co-teaching, and professional learning. The coach also works closely with division-level administration to evaluate data, identify instructional needs, and communicate with building administrators to ensure alignment between division goals, school priorities, and classroom practice.

Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Virginia teaching license with mathematics certification.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, including at least 3 years in Virginia, with a demonstrated record of positively impacting student achievement and effectively supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Proven teacher leadership, with strong pedagogical knowledge, mathematics content expertise, and a commitment to professional growth through leadership and participation in significant professional development activities.
- Demonstrates strong professional, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills necessary to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and community members.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to coach, collaborate, and build capacity in teachers and staff.
- Proficient in using data management and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) to generate and interpret school-level reports.
- Capable of preparing accurate and timely written reports, traveling between multiple work locations during the school day, and supporting instruction in classrooms with varied seating and desk configurations.
