Minimum Qualifications
- Valid license from the Virginia Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP)
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Good organizational, human relations, and communication skills
- Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
- Experience with a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Knowledge of a variety of AAC strategies and systems
- Ability to use technology in therapeutic procedures
- Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary team providing therapeutic services to identified students
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, and staff
- Demonstrate a willingness to work with all students
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Possess high moral standards and integrity
