Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough, high-quality assessments using the Ohio Children's Initiative CANS tool.
- Gather relevant information by engaging compassionately with children, youth, and their families.
- Document assessment findings accurately in the CANS IT System.
- Complete each assigned assessment within the designated timeframe (one week per assignment).
- Submit assessments timely to support eligibility determinations and care planning.
- Maintain compliance with all OhioRISE, Medicaid, and ethical guidelines.
- Stay current on CANS best practices and any changes to assessment protocols.
Requirements:
- Active Praed Foundation Ohio Children's Initiative CANS certification (required).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field — or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
- Enrolled Ohio Medicaid provider with the CANS Assessor specialty, or willingness to enroll.
- Experience conducting assessments in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
- Experience or strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Self-directed, reliable, and able to manage assignments independently.
- A compassionate demeanor and genuine commitment to client welfare.
- Based in or able to serve the Greater Cincinnati area.
