Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble baked goods and café menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and transactions
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the café and kitchen areas, including bussing tables and cleaning equipment
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed during food handling and preparation
• Restock supplies, organize displays, and assist with inventory management in retail sections
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to manage time effectively in a quick-service or fast-food setting
• Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations, and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience working in a café, bakery, restaurant, grocery store, or similar food industry environment is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend and evening availability is a must
