Duties
- Mow lawns using power tools such as riding mowers, push mowers, and trimmers to achieve a clean, manicured appearance
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, trimming shrubs, pruning trees, and planting flowers or new greenery
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like aerating soil, installing irrigation systems, or installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and assessing health to promote growth and safety
- Maintain outdoor spaces by applying horticultural practices and ensuring proper irrigation and drainage systems are functioning effectively
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for pedestrians and vehicles
- Support construction projects related to landscaping or hardscape installation by using excavators or other construction equipment as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Basic mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, hand tools, and power tools is highly desirable
- Familiarity with horticulture principles, tree care techniques, and irrigation systems will set you apart
- Experience operating small construction machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina and safety awareness
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards in outdoor environments
