Job Summary
As a 911 Dispatcher, you will be essential in managing emergency communications and ensuring timely responses to critical situations. Reporting to the Communications Supervisor, your core skills in dispatching, phone etiquette, and communication will be vital in providing accurate information to first responders. Your premium skills will enhance your ability to assess emergencies effectively. Additionally, your relevant skills in conflict management and multi-line phone systems will support the organization in maintaining public safety and delivering high-quality service during emergencies. Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, gathering essential information from callers using effective phone etiquette.
- Dispatch appropriate emergency services while maintaining clear communication with responders.
- Utilize typing skills to accurately document incidents and relay critical information.
- Analyze situations quickly to prioritize responses and manage multiple calls simultaneously.
- Provide first aid instructions to callers as needed, ensuring safety until help arrives.
