Pools and More is currently seeking a Business Development and Sales Manager for their pool building, service and retail business. Located in Paris, Texas, Pools and More has been in business for 25 years. We are the most experienced and educated pool builder in the area. We have cultivated the best customer base by providing quality work and honesty. We are looking to add a driven and organized leader to our organization with the intention of managing our business development and sales department. The ideal candidate would have pool design and sales experience, leadership and management experience, as well as general marketing experience. The candidate must be able to work independently, able to prioritize, be highly organized and professional, and have the drive to learn and improve the organization.
Salary, commissions and draws are dependent on experience and given the importance of this role, will be increased with success in this role. Pools and More will provide all necessary tools for this role including potential company vehicle, company cell phone, professional apparel, and computer(s) and software(s).
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new sales opportunities and securing new contracts, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's client base. This role often combines market research, relationship management, and sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Creating, implementing, and supervising the company’s business development strategy by developing and executing a thoughtful, organized approach to business development that balances creativity with consistency and follow-through.
- Drive growth of new pool sales and remodels
- Set sales targets and quotas
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, proposals, and project opportunities
- Create proposals and quotes for prospective clients
- Collaborate with leadership on sales strategy, pricing, proposals, and client presentations
- Partner with design and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience from initial contact through project kickoff
- Take ownership of performance outcomes, including pipeline health, opportunity progression, and revenue impact
- Provide market insights, competitor observations, and client feedback to support business growth decisions and to inform strategy and decision-making
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key referral partners to drive consistent project pipeline
- Represent the company at industry events, networking groups, builder associations, and private client meetings
- Hiring, onboarding, and training business development staff
