Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep turf healthy and vibrant.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, tree trimming, planting, and mulching to promote plant health and landscape beauty.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, edging, and installing landscape features.
- Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stones, and assisting with excavation using equipment like an excavator.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and making minor repairs to ensure proper watering.
- Conduct snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access and clear pathways.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving garden beds, retaining walls, or other landscape structures while adhering to safety standards.
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment and performing routine maintenance on tools.
- Familiarity with land management practices such as lawn care, tree care, horticulture, and irrigation systems is beneficial.
- Ability to use hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools confidently and safely.
- Experience working with construction equipment like excavators or other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of snow plowing procedures and safety protocols during winter seasons is desirable.
