Duties
- Install new pools by interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans with precision.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing pools, including cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment checks to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct repairs on pool systems such as pumps, filters, heaters, and plumbing components using hand tools and power tools.
- Manage construction site activities related to pool installation, including concrete forming, plastering, tile laying, and masonry work.
- Operate heavy equipment safely to excavate sites and move materials efficiently.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately install components like glass panels, cabinetry, trim carpentry elements, and roofing structures around pools.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects involving stucco application, flooring installation, or restoration work around pool areas.
- Utilize construction management software such as Bluebeam for project documentation and progress tracking.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain project timelines, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for accurate installation planning.
Extensive experience with construction management practices on job sites involving pools or outdoor structures.
Skilled in construction estimating to provide accurate project timelines and resource needs.
Knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical wiring related to pool equipment, and general construction inspection procedures.
Hands-on experience with hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) essential for installation tasks.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely during excavation or site preparation activities.
Familiarity with concrete forming techniques for pool shells or surrounding patios; experience in masonry or tile laying is a plus.
Expertise in caulking, plastering, stucco application, or restoration projects around pools.
Competence in working from blueprints or schematics for precise fabrication of custom features like glass installations or cabinetry.
Strong understanding of construction safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
