Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Swimming Pool Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform routine pool cleaning tasks, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain water clarity and cleanliness
- Conduct regular pool water testing and adjust chemical levels to ensure optimal water quality and safety standards
- Inspect and troubleshoot pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and valves; perform necessary repairs or replacements using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and repairs for each pool serviced
- Identify potential issues with pool systems early and implement appropriate preventive maintenance measures
- Assist with opening and closing pools seasonally or as needed to ensure proper preparation for usage or storage
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or hazards during maintenance procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar pool maintenance role with hands-on equipment repair experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of pool systems, pumps, filters, heaters, and related equipment
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of pool cleaning techniques and chemical balancing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple pools efficiently
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred for travel between sites
