*Overview*

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your expertise in grooming techniques and animal care will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. No receptionist or bather on-site.

Pet Groomer Position

Commission Structure:

In addition to exceptional grooming skills universally recognized, candidates who demonstrate strong customer service, impeccable cleanliness, teamwork, a diligent work ethic, and a passion for continuous learning will be offered a 50% commission.

Salary payment

• Paid weekly.

Tipping:

• Tips typically account for 10-13% of total sales (paid weekly).

• Employee 2: Commission $500, Tips $120
• Employee 3: Commission $900, Tips $200
• Employee 4: Commission $1200, Tips $250

The more dogs you groom and the more you improve your grooming skills, the higher your earnings can be!

Duties

• Provide grooming services such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine the appropriate grooming techniques.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and address any concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Safely handle animals using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort during grooming sessions.
• Assist with kennel duties as needed (feeding, exercising, monitoring behavior).
• Stay updated on the latest grooming trends and techniques to continually improve skills and service quality.

Requirements

• Experience is not required, but you should have a skill level equivalent to someone with around 3 years of dog grooming experience. Just because someone has many years of experience doesn’t necessarily mean they are highly skilled. A person with only one year of experience can be more skilled than someone with ten years if they have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well in team environments.
• We seek an individual who adheres to the manager’s direction, collaborates effectively with team members, and demonstrates a willingness to assist colleagues.
• We do not prefer employees to remain seated for extended periods while grooming. Prolonged sitting not only slows down the work pace and diminishes the quality of service provided to clients, but it may also lead to neglecting opportunities to assist colleagues.
• Someone who treats company property with care as if it were their own
• Someone who is organized and takes the initiative to keep their surroundings clean.(We consider cleanliness an important part of customer service at our shop)
• Must have a positive attitude and be able to help others when they are busy or in need.
• Physical strength is needed to handle large and energetic dogs.
• Excellent customer service skills with effective communication with pet owners.
• Experience in pet sitting or dog training is a plus but not required.
• Certification as a veterinary technician or related qualifications is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their health and well-being is essential.
• No worries if you don't speak English.
• Our current work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, and we plan to open on Mondays and Sundays in the future. Therefore, you must be available to work on either Monday or Sunday. We follow a 5-day workweek, but if you would like to work 6 days, you may do so. However, this will only be possible after we have secured enough customers.
