Job Summary:

A manufacturing firm is seeking an Optical Fabrication Manager to lead and manage all optical fabrication operations. The ideal candidate has a BS degree in engineering, 10 years of experience in optical fabrication, and strong skills with optical metrology tools. Supervisory experience and knowledge of optical standards are also important.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to meet technical, quality, and financial goals.
• Manage daily operations for all optical fabrication processes.
• Schedule work, allocate resources, and oversee personnel.
• Set up, operate, and maintain optical fabrication equipment.
• Ensure all work meets required optical standards and specifications.
• Develop and implement department procedures and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in optical fabrication manufacturing.
• 5 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of national and international optical specifications (MIL, ISO, ANSI, DIN).
• Proficient in optical metrology equipment (interferometers, auto-collimators, calipers, profilometers).
• Experience with grinding, polishing, edging, dicing, and blocking optical materials.
• Ability to work with infrared materials (Germanium, Silicon, Zinc Selenide, Gallium Arsenide).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
