Under limited supervision, the Preconstruction Manager is responsible to coordinate all aspects of design build and hard bid technical proposal assembly prior to award, followed by buying subcontracts for construction while working closely with the project manager and/or construction manager utilizing the buyout process as a project specific knowledge transfer vehicle. The Preconstruction Manager will also provide cost control support and guidance afterwards. Close coordination and communication with sales, estimating, construction, engineering, and senior management are essential in fulfilling this role.
