Acts as staff specialist in the application of advanced theories, concepts, and principles for an assigned area of responsibility. The incumbent must be capable of analyzing all technical aspects of the subject area, defining the scope and selecting problems for investigation,
developing novel concepts and approaches and recommending major architectural design changes.
Develops advanced architectural concepts, design techniques, and standards; viewed as expert within the company. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity scope that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity. Work performed under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives.
Accomplishes results through less experienced architects. Directs project work based on general policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed on completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
