We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join Ponsse Group Digital Services & IT Team. At Ponsse, data plays an increasingly important role in supporting our digital services and business operations. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and utilizing data infrastructure for business needs. This includes converting business requirements into end-to-end data solutions, encompassing data ingestion, warehousing, and publishing pipelines in cloud environments. You will play an active role in developing complex solutions, shaping the technical direction of the data team, and promoting the widespread adoption of best practices and innovations. You will create procedures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Additionally, you will work closely with other data, integration, and business system specialists to create innovative solutions for our customers. You are interested in leveraging new AI technologies in data services. We hope you have: Several years of experience and proven track record of developing cloud-based data platform/warehouse solutions on enterprise level. Knowledge on technologies like Azure Data Factory, Agile Data Engine, Snowflake and Databricks is seen as an advantage Experience with data modelling and implementing production-grade pipelines in cloud services Keen on agile methodologies Ability to understand the big picture while also being willing to take a hands-on approach Architectural mindset Excellent co-operation and communication skills Experience on working with external partners Solid English language skills, other language seen as benefit As a person, you are analytical and proactive, and you take ownership of the solutions you build. You are comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can translate business needs into practical data solutions.
