Food Runner and Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements
• Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, addressing inquiries, taking to-go orders, and call ahead seating.
• Sell packaged craft beer.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Provide information about menu items and specials to guests as needed.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, striving for resolution.
• Support overall guest services by helping with any additional needs that arise during their visit.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Current TABC and Food Handler certifications required, or MUST be able to Obtain.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members.
• Familiarity point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• A background in hotel or similar services can be beneficial for understanding guest expectations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
