Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates in collaboration with hiring managers and committees.
- Coordinate new hire orientation, communication, and onboarding; design and manage employee recognition programs and events.
- Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, performance management, employee relations, safety, and training.
- Finalize payroll biweekly, including review of timesheets, time off requests, and compensation changes.
- Process biweekly contractor payments.
- Address employment-related inquiries and escalate complex matters as needed.
- Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; review and update policies to maintain compliance.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulations, and technologies.
- Track and document compliance for required and optional training, continuing education, and work assessments (e.g., safety, anti-harassment, licensure, certifications).
- Draft and revise policies, procedures, and official documents.
- Identify opportunities to improve departmental efficiency.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide shared HR support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience.
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
