Senior Endpoint Engineer (Contract) – Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Workplace Consultant to support a high-impact modernization initiative for a rapidly growing retail organization. This is a hands-on contract role combining strategic Workplace transformation (80%) with light on-site support (20%) to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
You’ll partner closely with European Workplace & Engineering teams, playing a key role in delivering standardized, scalable, and secure workplace solutions across global environments.
What You’ll Do
Workplace Consulting & Project Delivery (80%)
- Lead end-to-end Workplace modernization initiatives (device lifecycle, endpoint management, collaboration tools, security enhancements)
- Design and implement solutions leveraging Microsoft 365, Azure / Entra ID, and Intune (MEM)
- Collaborate with global architects and engineers to align standards, timelines, and deployment strategies
- Translate business and operational needs into scalable, cloud-first solutions
- Support pilots, testing, rollouts, and change management across retail, warehouse, and corporate environments
- Drive automation, optimization, and continuous improvement of Workplace services
Deskside Support (20%)
- Provide on-site L1 technical support for end users (hardware, software, peripherals)
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and basic network issues
- Support device setup, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Maintain asset tracking and documentation
- Deliver a high-touch, customer-focused support experience
- Escalate issues appropriately while ensuring resolution and follow-through
What You Bring
Experience
- 5 years in Workplace / End-User Computing with strong project delivery experience
- Proven expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure / Entra ID, Intune (MEM), and endpoint management
- Experience working in global or multi-region environments (preferred)
- Prior Deskside Support experience (3–5 years) is a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of cloud identity, endpoint security, and M365 collaboration tools
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments
- Solid troubleshooting skills across devices and systems
- Basic networking knowledge

Qualifications
