We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) IT Field Technician for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Queens, NY. The IT Field Technician will lead and follow all aspects of Retail Services policies, objectives, and initiatives in the field.The IT Field Technician will plan, co-ordinate and manage the activities of the assigned retail team to maintain and enhance customer relationships and meet company objectives.
Salary: $50k-$55k
Note: The IT Field Technician will visit store sites daily and must have reliable transportation with a valid NJ or NY driver's liscense.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first point of contact for support issues at all stores.
- Travel daily between stores.
- Process service tickets/work logs related IT problems, train customers on applications and various wireless peripherals
- Elevate complex issues/problems to appropriate team members
- Troubleshoot and correct problems on site
- Perform scheduled hardware and/or software installations.
- Assist stores with: Desktop applications, maintenance, and troubleshooting., Network Equipment installation and troubleshooting (routers, switches, access points), Software installation and troubleshooting (SAP application, MS Office, Up-shop scale system, Windows etc, Configure and/or troubleshoot Zebra handhelds, network and label printers.
- Provide store training in hardware use and software applications.
- Work to gather information, or resolve issue independently or collaboratively
- Quickly learn and retain relevant system knowledge
- Support stores during Go live opening week.
- Respond to customer inquiries and problem solving in a professional and effective manner
- Provide feedback to manager regarding service failures or customer concerns
- Maintain in depth working knowledge of retail systems and processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- College degree in IT or Equivalent certifications, preferred
- English and Spanish written and verbal communication skills, required
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to think and work independently.
- Knowledge in network hardware or telecommunications, basic data communications troubleshoot, Cat5-Cat6 cable and RJ45 understanding. Capable of using equipment provided.

- Must be Willing to travel extensively
- Work nights or days only if needed; flexible with work assignments
- Valid US driver's license from NJ or NY state, and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation
Entry Level Criteria:
Computer literate, with a desire to learn telecommunications and cellular technology, Supermarket Retail or POS experience is a plus.
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
