What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bistro Cook position at Pomegranate Market?
The Bistro at Pomegranate Market is looking for an experienced kitchen cook. Applicants must share a love for food, a passion for clean eating, be self motivated, and work well in a customer service atmosphere. This is a full-time position and shifts may vary Monday through Saturday between 7:00am - 8:30 pm , and Sundays 9am - 6pm. ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required.
Job Requirements:
- Taking customer orders and delivering food to customers
- Ability to follow recipes to prepare salads, sandwiches, soups and other dishes
- Prepare fresh smoothies, juices, brew coffee and tea
- Clearing tables, cleaning dining area and replenishing supplies
- Washing dishes, cleaning counters, prep tables, salad bar and steam table
- Operating juicers, knives, ovens, mixers, dishwasher and other kitchen equipment in a safe manner
- Ensuring recipes are followed and that the quality of our products are consistent
- Communicating with customers and team members in English
- Use of hands/fingers to prepare, package and serve food and beverages
- Ability to push/pull carts of up to 50# and lifting & carrying up to 25#
- Standing for long periods of time
- Bending and reaching to fill/organize products
- Operating cash register and food scale
Starting pay is dependent upon experience w/a 90 day introductory period, casual dress code, relaxed work environment, health & dental insurance, and an employee discount!
