What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lathe Programmer/Operator position at Polytronix Machining & Fabrication?
Job Description:
Program, set up and operate Mazak (Mazatrol) lathe and machine parts/components to the required specifications.
Plan Machining operations by studying work orders/blueprints
Perform a wide variety of diversified close tolerance turning operations.
Select appropriate speeds, feeds and tooling for operations.
Verify conformance of machined work piece to specifications using measuring devices and make corrections as required.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and company regulations.
Requirements:
Must have knowledge of Mazatrol, MasterCam, SolidWorks
Must be able to read Blueprints & Drawings including symbols and material shapes
Must have Math Skills (fractions, decimals, etc...)
Interpret geometric dimensions & tolerances
Understand & maintain quality standards
Can Bring Own tools (Micrometers, indicator, veneer, etc...)
