Full Time positions for Lathe/Mill Setup Operators
Functions:
- Oversee and coordinate machining operations and activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Be able to setup/operate CNC FANUC control
- Precise setting of all tool offsets
- Must have mathematical skills for calculating set-up requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry.
- Set up and operate machines with little supervision
- Able to read and understand Engineering drawings/blueprints
- Able to plan machining process, study work orders, drawings, materials, specifications, and machine capabilities
- Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) and read drawings
- Must be familiar with G-Code machine language
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields
- Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to oversee physical workload
- 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC Horizontal setup
- Knowledge of FANUC controls
- Functional and Technical skills
- Read and edit programs
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC mill machining
