Inventory Support Technician (2nd Shift)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Overview
Polymer Molding Inc. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Inventory Support Technician to join our team on second shift. This position plays a key role in supporting inventory accuracy, warehouse operations, and production by maintaining inventory systems, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with multiple departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for warehouse management and inventory control systems.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify system or process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, Production, and Quality departments to improve inventory flow and warehouse efficiency.
- Utilize inventory data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Train employees on warehouse management system procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system updates, troubleshooting activities, and process improvements.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and material movement as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or manufacturing.
- Experience with IQMS or another ERP/WMS system is highly preferred.
- Strong computer skills and experience using barcode scanners, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, IMS, or similar inventory software.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
- Forklift experience required.
- Box truck driving experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
