Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. is looking to hire multiple Electromechanical Technicians at our Hanover, PA location. KRS is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial seal applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product and Process Development. KRS has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace industry. Electromechanical Technician: Perform duties to service, maintain and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Works from instructions, routines, prints and manuals.
- Performs duties related to the maintenance, installation, repair, rework, construction and service of all electric and electronic equipment, electronic and electric gages and services.
- Performs all duties to maintain the plant and equipment including millwright duties.
- Repairs equipment and processes.
- Work with tools and equipment related to the mechanical trades.
- Performs simple welding, cutting, soldering and brazing.
- Read prints, charts, drawings and specifications.
- Troubleshoots.
- Works closely with engineering and outside vendors on job related duties.
- May be required to direct the activities of lesser skilled craftsmen.
- Performs preventive maintenance related to job.
- Order parts.
- Occasionally trains others.
- May assist or relieve operators.
- Performs inherent work of related mechanical trades.
- May open and close plant.
- Turns equipment on and off.
- Maintain work areas in a neat, safe, clean and orderly fashion.
- Notify supervision of any problems or difficulties.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Follows safety protocols, follows Company rules/policies and keeps work areas in a clean and orderly fashion
Job Education, Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience working with 5-axis machinery and have HSD or GED.
- Considerable training in electrical and mechanical trades, equivalent to complete apprenticeship training or a two year post high school technical degree.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in manufacturing environment performing in production set up role
- Refers to supervisor for clarification of priorities, objectives, or policies
- Ability to train on any shift
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- 2nd shift hours, Mon-Fri 3P-11P (1 opening on 2nd)
- 5th shift hours, Sat-Sun 11A-11P and M 3P-11P (1 opening on 5th)
- All hourly employees required to become a member of the United Steelworkers Union (USW) Local 7343-9
