Polymer Chemistry Innovations Chocolate Bayou (PCC) is a growing specialty chemical manufacturer located in Alvin, TX. We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and continue building a culture centered on safety, reliability, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the facility, including production, maintenance, safety, quality, and personnel development. This position works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Leadership to ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while driving long-term operational improvements.

Essential Functions Will Include:

Plant Leadership & Operations

  • Lead all aspects of daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, safety, quality, and personnel.
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor supervisors and operators while establishing clear expectations and accountability.
  • Ensure production schedules are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer commitments.

Safety, Quality & Reliability

  • Champion a strong safety culture by proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead preventative maintenance efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and monitor KPIs that measure plant performance across safety, production, quality, maintenance, inventory, and productivity.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, prioritize improvements, and support sound decision-making.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, reliability, quality, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
  • Balance day-to-day operational priorities with strategic initiatives that strengthen the business over the long term.

Systems & Organizational Development

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures, training materials, and operational processes.
  • Capture and transfer operational knowledge to build a stronger, more resilient organization.
  • Partner with leadership to improve systems, processes, and organizational capabilities that support sustainable growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Leadership to coordinate priorities and solve operational challenges.
  • Communicate issues early, develop practical solutions, and ensure commitments are followed through to completion.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing teams with integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to effectively balance daily operational demands with long-term strategic improvements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience developing KPIs, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Commitment to building systems, developing people, and creating a culture of operational excellence.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive plant manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing or other process manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, production planning, and maintenance management preferred.

Pay: $130,000.00 per year
