Position: Welder / Fabricator.
This is a hands-on welding position that requires MIG & TIG welding experience on heavy duty trailer manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure shop orders are completed in proper sequence and work is accurate.
- Read and interpret shop orders and blueprints or instructions to assist with weldments.
- Oversee resolution of general manufacturing/welding issues as they arise.
- Troubleshoot material issues as they arise. (Locate missing materials, etc.)
- Ensure proper weld PPE is being worn at all times.
Interaction with team:
- Cross functional work with quality, manufacturing engineering, and operations
Team Structure
- Report to the Plant Manager.
Skills:
· Experienced welding skills with heavy gauge sheet metal and aluminum.
· Assist with welding tasks as necessary to complete assignments.
· Make sure safety rules are followed at all times.
Education & Experience Required:
· Previous weld management experience in a manufacturing facility at a minimum of four (4) years.
· Experienced in MIG, TIG and stick welding on both plate and aluminum.
· AWS certification is preferred but not required.
