Job Title: Welding/Fabrication Employee
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Fabrication Employee to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily fabrication operations, supporting production needs, and ensuring high quality workmanship on all projects. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with tools, machinery, and materials in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret basic shop drawings, blueprints, or work orders to understand project requirements. Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Measure, cut, bend, and assemble metal components according to specifications. Perform basic welding, grinding, and finishing work when needed. Assist in fitting, clamping, and preparing materials for welding or further fabrication. Ensure accuracy of measurements and maintain quality standards throughout the process. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of shop equipment and work areas. Safely load, unload, and move materials or finished products Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Support team members and supervisors in completing projects on time.
Qualifications: Previous experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or metalworking environment preferred (but willing to train the right candidate). Ability to read and understand simple blueprints or instructions. Comfortable using measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and squares. Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed. Must pass a drug test and criminal background check. Pay depending on experience.
