What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Japanese Instructor position at Polyglottist Language Academy?
We are currently looking for an experienced Japanese instructor to teach in-person Japanese classes for both children and adults. Classes will meet on Saturdays between 9am and 12pm.
This position is part-time on a contract basis. As an instructor, you will have the responsibility of developing your own Japanese program, conducting classes, and evaluating student progress. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. Moreover, we value a strong work ethic, responsiveness, and effective communication skills via email.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create your own Japanese program
- Deliver engaging and effective classes for children and adults
- Foster a positive and interactive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with the program director
Requirements:
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Bachelor's degree in Japanese or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Japanese to children and adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and prompt email communication
