Polsinelli seeks to hire a Practice Group Assistant to work with their Real Estate Finance group in the New York office. This is a great opportunity for recent college graduates or individuals interested in real estate and the paralegal profession.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with pre-closing, closing, and post-closing of loans
- Create closing binder indexes and closing binders
- Compile and organize documents: loan documents, signature pages, etc.
- Review documents to create summary of open items, bracketed items, and exhibits
- Prepare custodial letters
- Create and update closing checklist
- Track post-closing items such as recorded and original documents
- Assists with securitization practice
- Draft assignment documents (aka accommodation documents)
- Research for recorded documents as needed
- File UCC-1 and UCC-3 Secretary of State
- E-record mortgage documents as needed
- Work with attorneys, analysts, paralegals, and title companies
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong interest in real estate lending and finance
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal education preferred
- Prior law firm experience preferred
- Must be able to work individually, as well as in a team setting
- Must be dependable, dedicated, and able to maintain confidentiality
SKILLS
- Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Kofax
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
The budgeted salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000.
