Slickline Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Individual to join our team in the oil and gas industry for an entry level position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various operations on well pads and offshore platforms, particularly in relation to overhead crane work, pressure on wellheads and nearby equipment. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist in the operation of heavy equipment such as cranes and rigs on well sites.
• Support Slickline operations by preparing equipment and materials.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and report any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to repair and maintain gas and oil wells (Downhole)
• Participate in site inspections and assist with the implementation of safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.

Experience

• Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical knowledge or the willingness to learn is essential for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and drilling rigs, and CDL is highly desirable.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations related to well site safety is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members leads and supervisors.
• Reliability- this job is fast paced with a large amount of logistics involved it is essential to be able to show up on time.
• Requires a clean driving record to be able to insure.

Job Description-Slickline Assistant Class E

• This position requires a background check and driving record check
• 20 days on 10 days off - you could end up on a job the full 20 days or multiple day jobs and home most nights, we are in an Ad hoc Work Environment. Which Means we work for a larger company that does short term jobs around the Kenai Peninsula.
• We work onshore and offshore in the Kenai Peninsula, which Include job sites on both sides of the inlet along with offshore platforms.
• Most crews are set as a three-man crew or two-man, a three- man would be the Operator, Lead Hand/Helper, 3rd Hand/Helper, a Two- Man crew would consist of the Operator with a Lead or a 3rd Hand/Helper
