Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules (baseline and updates) using Primavera
- Monitor schedule progress, identify critical path activities, and recommend corrective or recovery actions.
- Perform Time‑Impact Analyses (TIA), develop fragnets, and provide schedule narratives to support claims or delays.
- Develop resource‑ and cost‑loaded schedules, manpower histograms, and progress S‑curves using earned‑value or percent‑complete methods.
- Facilitate pull‑planning and look‑ahead sessions with field teams, integrating Lean construction practices and Last Planner outputs.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, VDC/Fabrication, Procurement, and Subcontractors to gather inputs and validate field data.
- Lead formal schedule review meetings with internal teams and clients; present updates, variances, and recovery plans.
- Support preconstruction and pursuit teams with baseline schedules, long‑lead procurement analysis, and prefab/VDC sequencing.
- Ensure schedule compliance with all contractual requirements and milestones.
- Regularly visit job sites to validate progress, engage with field personnel, and update as‑built conditions.
- Prepare executive‑level reports, dashboards, and schedule narratives for both internal and external audiences.
- Maintain scheduling standards, mentor junior schedulers, and drive continuous improvement within the Project Controls function.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4–6 years of experience as a Scheduler within commercial, industrial, or mechanical construction environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, including global calendars, coding/WBS structures, resource loading, and layouts.
- Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, resource and cost loading, and schedule risk analysis.
- Experience developing baseline schedules, performing updates, and analyzing schedule variance for large projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross‑functional and executive‑level interactions.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites regularly to support schedule validation and progress updates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mission‑critical, healthcare, or advanced‑technology construction projects.
- Familiarity with 4D scheduling (Synchro, Navisworks Timeliner) and Lean/Last Planner facilitation.
- Experience in contract schedule reviews, delay/claims analysis, and forensic scheduling.
- Certification such as AACE PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or Primavera P6 certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Acumen Fuse/Risk, and integration of schedules with ERP or project control systems.
Working Environment & Travel
- This role is based in our Grand Prairie office with frequent travel to active job sites across the region
- The Scheduler must be comfortable working in a dynamic construction environment: job-site conditions, changing scopes, aggressive schedule environments, and interfacing with field crews, subcontractors, and project leadership.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support schedule updates, site visits or leadership reviews.
