The Role:

The Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain management, including supply planning, inventory deployment, order fulfillment, and operational execution. This role ensures seamless cross-functional coordination to meet customer demand, optimize inventory levels, and maintain high service standards. A key focus is integrating fulfillment and deployment functions to strategically position inventory and enable efficient delivery across the supply chain network. This position reports directly to the Executive Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead demand planning and the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including executive-level forecasting and purchasing decisions. Partner with sales teams and retail partners to align forecasts with key programs and events, ensuring optimal inventory levels and consistent product availability.
  • Drive operational excellence in order fulfillment, ensuring accurate and timely execution of sales orders in full compliance with customer-specific requirements. Investigate and analyze chargebacks, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to reduce financial impact and prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee all inventory control activities, including stock movement, e-commerce transfers, and ERP data accuracy. Manage inbound/outbound data entry, work order processing, and annual physical inventory reconciliation with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and third-party manufacturers (TPMs). Provide timely documentation in support of internal and external audits.
  • Monitor and analyze retail orders, shipments, and inventory performance to support data-driven decision-making. Deliver actionable insights to key stakeholders and maintain strong cross-functional communication on inventory status, order changes, and operational shifts.
  • Oversee returns processing by reviewing Return to Vendor (RTV) requests and working closely with warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate execution. Communicate resulting inventory opportunities to sales and senior leadership to support sell-through or repurposing strategies.
  • Manage new product setup by assigning UPCs and confirming accurate product data, including naming conventions and approved retail pricing. Ensure consistent communication across departments to maintain data integrity throughout systems.
  • Lead monthly shipment reviews and maintain ongoing inventory availability reporting. Monitor retailer chargeback reports and communicate key findings and resolutions to the appropriate internal teams to ensure proactive issue management.
  • Identify and implement scalable process improvements across the supply chain in collaboration with internal teams and 3PL partners. Focus on enhancing operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and agility.

The Candidate:

  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the beauty or personal care industry, with a strong emphasis on 3PL distribution, finished goods assembly, and order execution.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with strong experience in NetSuite and EDI platforms preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general technical systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage high-impact initiatives effectively.
  • Must be open and available to work onsite full time in our Corona Del Mar, California office.
