We are seeking an experienced Dietary Manager to lead our Food & Nutrition Services department in a long‑term care setting. The Dietary Manager is responsible for managing daily food service operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing nutritious, high‑quality meals that support resident health and satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee food and nutrition services operations, staff supervision, scheduling, and performance management
Plan menus and special diets in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian and medical team
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (CMS, sanitation, infection control)
Manage food safety, sanitation, inventory, purchasing, and budget controls
Participate in surveys, audits, QAPI initiatives, and corrective action plans
Communicate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support care plans
Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience in long-term care dietary services will be considered
• (Preferred) Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential in good standing, or eligibility to obtain certification within a defined timeframe in accordance with regulatory expectations
• Demonstrated experience in dietary or food service operations within a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting, including prior supervisory or leadership responsibilities
• Proven ability to lead, train, and develop dietary staff while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and resident satisfaction
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing and consulting dietitians
• Commitment to delivering resident-centered nutritional services that support clinical outcomes and quality of life
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, move throughout the facility, and assist during emergencies.
