Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event goals and requirements.
- Prepare event space according to client specifications (tables, chairs, décor, AV equipment).
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of all areas before guest arrival.
- Assist with post-event teardown and resetting the venue.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events including logistics, catering, and entertainment.
- Greet clients, guests, and vendors upon arrival.
- Oversee event timeline and ensure activities run on schedule.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client needs during the event.
- Troubleshoot issues promptly and professionally.
- Develop event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Coordinate with caterers, DJs, photographers, and other vendors.
- Provide directions and assistance to guests as needed.
- Monitor venue safety standards and enforce policies.
- Respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Handle any issues that arise during events promptly and efficiently.
- Collect feedback post-event to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, late nights, and weekends as needed for events.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
