Pocket Change Laundry is looking for a reliable, customer-focused Weekend Closer to join our Sweeten Creek team!
We take pride in providing excellent customer service and a clean, welcoming laundry facility. In this role, you will assist customers, process laundry orders, maintain the facility, and complete closing duties to prepare the store for the next day.
Weekend closing availability is required. Washing, drying, and FOLDING laundry are regular responsibilities of this position.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist customers: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and help them use the washers, dryers, and other facility services.
- Wash, dry, and FOLD laundry: Complete laundry orders to high standards, ensuring all items are neatly folded and handled with care.
- Operate laundry equipment: Use washers and dryers properly, perform routine cleaning, and report equipment problems promptly.
- Keep the facility clean: Clean floors, folding areas, restrooms, and equipment; remove trash; and maintain an organized, inviting space.
- Complete closing duties: Finish assigned closing tasks, restock supplies, and secure the facility according to company procedures.
- Support daily operations: Monitor supplies, communicate order updates or concerns to the team, and follow all safety and health procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be available for weekend closing shifts.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail, especially when folding and handling laundry.
- Willingness to learn how to operate laundry equipment and follow cleaning and safety procedures.
- Previous laundry or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule and Experience
Schedule: Weekend closing shifts. Exact shift hours will be discussed during the hiring process.
Experience: One year of laundry experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to commute: Must be able to reliably commute to 1133 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
