This position is essential to public safety and requires individuals who can remain calm under pressure while providing critical emergency communications to law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other public safety agencies.
Position Responsibilities:
-Answer emergency (911) and non-emergency telephone calls
-Dispatch law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other emergency responders
-Monitor and maintain radio communications with field personnel
-Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and other emergency communications systems
-Accurately document incidents and maintain detailed records
-Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment where quick, sound decisions are required
Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED
-Strong computer skills are required
-Excellent typing and keyboarding skills are required
-Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
-Ability to multitask and remain composed during emergency situations
-Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed
-Must successfully complete all required background checks and training
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
