Continuing Education Instructor- Evening Cosmetology

• Develop & implement engaging lessons, tailored to the needs of adult learners, reflective of the NYS Core
• Curriculum for Cosmetology
• Design hands-on, practical experiences (e.g. “clinics,” in-class demonstrations, practicing skills using
• mannequins, etc.)
• Manage classroom dynamics to create a respectful, inclusive, motivating environment for diverse student populations
• Assess & support student progress, working closely with students to support their goals
• Maintain accurate attendance, participation, and performance record

• Proven experience teaching, preferably within adult education and/or classroom settings
• Current NYS Cosmetology license in good standing
• Familiarity with learning technology tools
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Punctual & must be willing to teach assigned course for its full scheduled duration

Prior experience and/or strong desire to work with students from varied backgrounds and skill levels

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
