Pneumatic Transfer and Cleaning (PTC) is growing and seeking General Yard Laborers to join our family friendly team with great pay and benefits! This is a fabulous opportunity as this role is very unique and rewarding with the ability to grow with us!General Yard Laborers will provide washing, cleaning, inspections and repair services for railcars including the installation of replacement parts to PTC company guidelines and customer work instructions. Role and Responsibilities:Perform railcar inspections and repairs to meet safety, quality and company production targetsInspect cars for cleanliness and perform lining inspectionInspect cars to assess maintenance and parts replacementUnderstand operation of all equipmentAbility to use hand tools and conduct railcar cleaning and repair processesTransport equipment to site locationsRemove debris from PD rail or boxcarsVerification of work per company standardsComplete documentation of cars cleaned and/or washed as well as parts replacedCoordinate car movements for company or customer needsMaintain company equipment and good housekeeping of siteMaintain safety standardsAssist in maintaining inventory of partsAny other duties that may be assigned in order to complete the assigned taskSkills/Qualifications:Ability to lift up to 75 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objectsMust have a valid driver's licenseNo DUI's or reckless driving on MVRAbility to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding and the likeAbility to work at 15 feet with fall protectionAbility to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and have good visionAbility to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme coldAttention to detail is criticalHigh school diploma or equivalency.Job Requirements:21 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.Possess a valid regular drivers license with a clean driving recordStable work history with good references from past employersPass an observed drug screen, physical, and background checkSpeak fluent EnglishMonday through Friday work with occasional weekends and overtimeOccasional travelOur mission is to provide the utmost in timely, full-service product recovery and quality bulk vessel and equipment servicing, through the operation and management of full-time, dedicated crews and utilization of customized equipment.
