Test Preparation Tutor (SAT/ACT) **Math and English!

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COVER MATH *AND* ENGLISH SECTIONS OF THE TESTS. Any candidates with experience in only one subject will be automatically rejected.

While 1-on-1 tutoring is our main service, we do teach group classes as well. Job Responsibilities

• Assist driven high school students in understanding concepts and their applications, organization, time management and motivation
• Capable of providing constructive feedback
• Punctual, reliable, and capable of working and communicating largely independently
• Document notes in Teachworks, our CRM platform.
• Participate in meetings/trainings
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel to office location in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
• Ability to monitor, mentor, support, and hold tutors under supervision accountable
• Ability to work on/develop content and curriculum
• Capable of learning new systems and procedures quickly and completely

Prerequisites for Employment

• Ability to travel to office location in Old Bridge, NJ
• Attentive to detail, professional, clear communication
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 2 year experience in Test Prep (SAT or ACT) tutoring. SAT/ACT Math and EBRW teaching experience.
• Extensive understanding of Pre-Calculus Math (Alg, Geometry, Trig, etc.) AND English (Reading and Writing)
• Strong Critical thinking skills and ability to deliver curriculum to different students
• A patient, positive, and encouraging approach
• Reliable afternoon/evening (and potentially weekend) availability through school year, daytime weekday availability during summer
• Must be able to commit to at least one year of in-person employment
