About the Role
We are looking for passionate, organized, and proactive English Teachers to join our team for our after-school enrichment programs. Our mission is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and true mastery, focusing on students in Grades 3 through 8.
We believe that an hour of instruction is just the starting point. We are in search of educators who can inspire students to make reading a daily priority and help them develop the critical thinking skills necessary for long-term academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction focusing on reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and writing mechanics.
- Guide students through rigorous curriculum modules designed to challenge their analytical skills.
- Provide clear, transparent feedback to parents regarding student progress and academic goals.
Qualifications
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex literary concepts to elementary and middle school students.
- Availability: Must be available during after-school hours and/or Saturdays.
- Experience: Previous experience in a classroom or enrichment center setting (2 years preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. Teaching certification is a plus.
- Currently, a junior or Senior in College pursuing an English or Education major can also apply
