We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Project Manager with deep expertise in Workday Financials implementations to lead complex, enterprise-level ERP initiatives. This role requires a highly proactive leader who can drive execution, enforce accountability, and elevate delivery performance across cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of technical project leadership, executive communication, and hands-on delivery rigor, with a proven track record of successfully delivering end-to-end ERP Financial Management implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday Financials (Financial Management) implementations and enhancements
- Drive project execution across planning, design, build, test, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Hold teams accountable for deliverables, timelines, and quality standards
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Provide clear, concise executive-level reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure alignment across business, technical, and vendor teams
- Engage stakeholders to manage expectations, scope, and priorities
- Implement and maintain project governance, controls, and best practices
- Foster a high-performance environment by driving urgency, ownership, and accountability
- Manage hybrid delivery teams using Waterfall, Agile, and blended methodologies
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of Project Management experience, with a strong technical delivery background
- Proven success leading ERP Financial Systems implementations, preferably Workday Financial Management (not just HCM)
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, enterprise-scale programs
- Strong expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models
- Excellent executive presence with experience presenting to C-level and senior stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate:
- Project status
- Risks and mitigation strategies
- Dependencies and impacts
- Proven ability to drive teams, enforce accountability, and proactively solve problems
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including vendors and system integrators
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Auto Finance, Financial Services, or lending organizations
- Workday Financials certification or prior implementation with Workday Financial Management modules
- Ability to be onsite/hybrid in DFW
- Strong track record of improving team performance and delivery outcomes
