A premier lifestyle, hospitality, and entertainment organization is seeking an experienced Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) to serve as Medical Director for its employer-sponsored health clinic in Reno, NV. About the Role
The Medical Director will provide comprehensive primary care services while helping lead clinical operations and support a high-performing healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Perform annual physicals, wellness visits, and preventive health screenings
- Diagnose, evaluate, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other procedures
- Prescribe medications and educate patients regarding treatment plans, risks, and expected outcomes
- Provide patient education focused on wellness, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Coordinate care with specialists and make referrals when appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- Active and unrestricted Nevada medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or Primary Care strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership experience or prior Medical Director experience is a plus
