Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to join our estimating team. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction estimating, with a focus on mechanical or refrigeration systems and proficiency in plan take-offs. You will assist senior estimators in preparing accurate and competitive bids, analyzing project drawings and specifications, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.

You will assist senior estimators in preparing accurate and competitive bids, analyzing project drawings and specifications, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications for commercial refrigeration projects.
- Perform detailed plan take-offs for materials, equipment, and labor.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, bid proposals, and project budgets.
- Request and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes for equipment and materials.
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates and revisions.
- Support senior estimators and project managers in preconstruction and budgeting efforts.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
- Stay current with industry standards, pricing, and new technologies in refrigeration systems.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within commercial refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and plan take-offs.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Stack or similar estimating software.
- Solid skills in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
