Position Overview:
PM Design seeks an experienced Senior Job Captain to independently lead the execution of construction documents in Revit/ AutoCAD for commercial retail projects. As a Senior Job Captain, you will oversee project tasks and drawing packages from planning and permitting through construction administration. Responsibilities include coordinating consultants, producing code-compliant construction documents, and ensuring deliverables meet client objectives and PM Design’s QA/QC standards.
Experience with national rollout programs and sports projects would be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independent execution of full CD Sets
- Lead the coordination of sub-consultants, with a heavy emphasis on independently reading, reviewing, and integrating Structural and MEP engineering drawings
- Act as a highly autonomous 'manager-doer,' taking full ownership of project timelines, jurisdictional interface, and construction administration with minimal daily oversight
- Day to day project management for national roll outs
- Develop planning, permitting, and construction documents; review and enhance drawing quality
- Ensure drawing sets meet QA/QC standards for code compliance, constructability, coordination, and presentation
- Conduct site visits, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and generate punch lists
- Track budgets, support bid processes, and contribute to project schedules
- Mentor CAD team members and delegate tasks as needed
- Maintain timely client communication and participate in project meetings
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Revit and AutoCAD is required
- Deep working knowledge of the IBC, local building codes, and accessibility requirements
- A highly resourceful, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, and fast-paced team structure
- Experience with national roll out projects for sports stores , commercial retail, restaurant, and tenant improvement projects
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Commitment to quality across all phases of project development
