Full Job Description
Plymouth Spring Company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with experience in stamping and coiling operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on stamped and coiled parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators)
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Identify non-conforming materials and initiate corrective actions
- Work closely with production to resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Qualifications
- 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with metal stamping and/or coiling processes required
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T (preferred)
- Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement techniques
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in spring manufacturing or similar metal products
- Familiarity with ISO or quality management systems
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
